Just when you think you are done.

My bar tape was actually so bad to the point I had taken it off and re-wrapped it backwards to cover up some of the holes. Since I was replacing my tires and adjusting every thing else it seemed like time to replace the bar tape. I have been putting off new tires on my road bike for some time, because while it gets tires are 1/12th a often as my fixed gear. Spending $100-150 bucks every blue moon vs. $20-40 dollars every other month still sucks.

But, I got my road bike taken care of, and just when I thought I was done working on it for it a bit. I realized pretty much the entire drive train needs to be replaced. The chain rings are bent, the cassette is just old and replacing all that will necessitate a new chain.

I guess that’s just whats happens when you play with your toys hard

There is one in town in my size, but being as it is the last one till next year, they are asking near $800 for it. It seems just a bit [tag]excessive[/tag] to me.

I made a big fuss about getting a [tag]fixed[/tag] gear [tag]bicycle[/tag], rode it about 3 times. Then I tried to die before losing it. Honestly I need a second bicycle like I need a hole in my head, but I rode Rocky’s fixed [tag]Trek[/tag] a few nights back and I really want my own fixie again.

Too bad the current budget doesn’t allow for such toys

Puuuuuushhhh!

So in the midst of all my other toys breaking I bought myself a bicycle. It is my first road bike since I was 10 I think.
I got on it and pedaled out about 25 miles today, it felt really nice to zip along the road. My Ibook is in the shop and I wont have it for another 2 weeks so I can’t make this a long-winded post like i would like, oh well
