The Confederate Motorcycles Factory

A buddy of mine and myself where driving back into town and went from talking about our the days when I was his [tag]motorcycle[/tag] mechanic to his dream bike. He kept bringing up the [tag]Confederate[/tag] motorcycles [tag]Hellcat[/tag]. So I brought up the fact I knew where their factory was. He decided we should go by there so he could see his dream bike up close. I figured it wouldn’t pan out so I went along it.

When we got there they asked us to come in and if we wanted take the tour. This is why I always carry a camera.

We also got to see a bike named “The Fighter” but it is still in the [tag]prototype[/tag] stage, and I was asked to turn my camera off first.

Where are my pants?

Early Thursday someone asked me, “are you going to Elizabeth’s party Friday?”
“Who?”
“Elizabeth?”
“Who?”
“Besti….The mad Russian!”

Turns out I was, so were half of the other bicyclist I know and people who do volunteer work in east Atlanta went as well. One of the more interesting things of the night was the fact they had liberated a huge billboard from somewhere and turned it into a massive slip and slide using water and baby oil.

I played it fairly calmly since I was still recovering from several seizures earlier in the the night, but still managed to have an all around good time. I also had to barter for a ride home in very broken German.

I think it officially became a party when I heard Jeremy utter the phrase, “Where are my pants?”

The next day while doing volunteer work at Sopo, I had just taken a moment to eat lunch when a guy ran his motorcycle into the side of the building while attempting to exit the parking lot. I ran over to make sure he is ok, then checked to make sure he didn’t have a concussion, and what happened? I had a seizure. Pretty much like clock work. I checked the guy out before walking to the bathroom room and passing out. 6 seizures in 3 days while on my medicine, a new personal record, but it has left me a bit tired and in pain. But on a side note, I am getting a new Medic-Alert bracelet for my birthday

Napa valley region.

Today my dad and I got an early start before everyone else woke up. We started by driving past the spot were he was hit while riding his motorcycle. The tire marks are still gouged out of the dirt, and the fence was still destroyed almost a year and a half later. It was easy to understand why he didn’t want to stop the car and look around.

We also drove through the Napa valley region and some of the more rural country side up to the Monticello dam.

later my dad and I walked along the edge of the dam for a bit and looked down into the valley. The entire area was lush and green. it’s amazing really. I took the time to shoot a panorama of the rocks above the dam you can find the shot here but it was impossible to shot a clear shot of the dam itself. It was fenced off for safety purposes.

Keeps My Ears Warm

Even though I haven’t had a [tag]motorcycle [/tag]in way to long, I still have my last [tag]helmet[/tag]. and at the request of a friend I took a picture of it, while doign so I took the time to find where I had lost all of my other helmet [tag]pictures [/tag]and a few of my motocycle pics.

So now for a bit of randomness
My first helmet was all black and got split in half on my first wreck in Florida. So I purchased a new one in [tag]St. Augustine[/tag]. It fell off a shelf and the front half broke off. So I decided at that point I should buy quality helmets.

First was the blue [tag]Fulhmer[/tag]

then the white icon

at which point I fell in love [tag]Suomy[/tag]’s and that is pretty much all I will wear
Unfortunately Sherrif Joe and company still have that one
and the current one
