Adventure is really just poor planning.

Something about having a legend.

Currently I have been visiting Birmingham, Alabama. And it has been very hard to keep a consistent internet connection. I think the first time I had a real internet connection, I spent most of that time updating Stupidhurts and prepping it for some major changes. I really haven’t had a lot of time to just sit in from of my →

I like backyards

I keep finding pictures I took, and meant to add to the site. Here are two I took recently. one of Patricia's back yard. And one of my Grand mother's back yard.

Duck season! Wabbit season! Duck season…..

"So I just quit my job to pursue my writing career full time kinda scary but I'm having faith in my talent and actually you were one of the people that inspired me to chase my dreams - truth." I was told this last night by a friend of mine. I hadn't heard from her in a bit, but I was →

Missing the point?

I wrote this on a napkin earlier today so I wouldn't forget about it. I sat there angry for a moment. I thought about it, I only see rainbows over the cities' skyline when I don't have my camera. Then it dawned on me. I may have missed the entire point. I just got to watch a rainbow over the city skyline.

Grab your pillows again!

World pillow fight day was April the 4th. Someone came to me for this picture, and published it on their site. http://www.nowpublic.com/culture/world-pillow-fight-day-april-4th-grab-your-pillows?import_id=49d7f0cdb73717.67711901 Which is pretty amusing. That's the second or third time someone has come to me about that picture in particular. It is also a bit surprising because I really don't think it is my best picture from that event. Unfortunately since my →

Your most Converse moment?

I was doing volunteer work at the local independent bookstore when a rep from Converse Shoes came by. They wanted to tell me they would be doing a photo shoot at the store because of the punk rock aesthetic. Since there was video involved, it meant release forms for everyone. I never really considered it much of a punk rock →

You aren’t from around here are you?

First off, I have made some massive upgrades to my gallery. I am really excited and happy about that. Plus there are a lot of new pictures in several of the galleries. So I got this call from Apple saying my computer was done in the middle of the week, but I haven’t had any free time until this weekend. Which →

My name is in the paper again.

I got another picture published. I really should find how many that has been so far. And like I was telling a friend; “it is always nice you see your name in the paper, without dieing or killing someone.”

And they refill your drinks for you.

I'm sitting in one of my favorite lunch spots. The bank execs and the help desk guys go there during the day for milk shakes and chicken nuggets. It is the only fast food fast place I know of, where they open the door for you, and refill your soda at the table. I normally don’t eat there because of →

A glimpse at my weekend.

There is a coffee shop I hang out at sometimes during the day to get work done. Mostly because I love the scenery, plus the people are always interesting. Well last week someone batted their big brown eyes at me, and I ended up photographing an art show free. The kinda work that normally run $100-275 dollars. Maybe more since →

I Forgot About That One.

While walking into the device support center for my cell phone I knew this was going to be interesting. Luckily our exchange was brief, but I could tell the agent was trying his best to stifle a smile the entire time I was in the store. Earlier that day I dropped my phone off for repair. There was a short it →

The messenger bag group on Flickr

I haven't really been up to much lately. But one of my favorite ways to pass time, and get ideas is the messenger bag group on Flickr Several of my bags are posted there. Plus several other amazing works of art.

A Small Nod

A few of my pictures are also hosted over in a Flickr account for a little more exposure. Today this picture received a Best Of Magic City nod. Take a look at some of the other photos in that group, you can see why I am proud of the distinction. Getting that, makes me want to get out and take better →

New Year. New Gear!

For Christmas my dad got me a new camera to replace my busted Pentax. So today in the mail I received a new Canon Rebel. I have been a bit iffy about switching to a new system due to the steep learning curve and the fact I am left with a lot of accessories I can longer use like an →

They really like me!

I got an email today asking me to submit more pictures to the Birmingham weekly. SWEET!!

The Media Cycle.

Over 60 bicyclist from Stillwater and the surrounding areas came together for the annual, "Ride Of Silence." The yearly ride serves as a silent tribute for the riders who have been involved in vehicular accidents. I really enjoyed myself, it was different than any other ride I have ever been on. I was a lot more aware of small things I →

Never Put Anything Online That You Would Not Want On The News!

It is a simple rule of thumb, and one I usually try to stick to. I am going to let my special guest blogger Sarah tell this one. I was just along for the ride. "I called my dad and step mom in California to wish them a Happy Easter.  After a few minutes of chatting I ask them if they →

Tech support

So I called Apple tech support for my busted Ibook, here is an excerpt from the call: Apple tech: how may I help you today? me: my computer won't boot (I then explained the symptoms and stuff) Apple tech: so it wont start up huh? me: pretty much Apple tech: okay here is what I am going to do, I will email you the steps →
