Something about having a legend.
Currently I have been visiting Birmingham, Alabama. And it has been very hard to keep a consistent internet connection. I think the first time I had a real internet connection, I spent most of that time updating Stupidhurts and prepping it for some major changes. I really haven’t had a lot of time to just sit in from of my computer so I could add a new post.
Most of my time in town it seems has really been catching up with old friends and hugging people. I did manage to get invited to a July fourth party near one of the high points in the city. Seeing the city’s firework display is one thing, feeling it, and smelling it. Can be just a little different. Plus sitting outside with nearly sixty drunk people adds a very interesting twist to it.
The next major goal for the week is to sit in several hospital waiting rooms and fill out a lot of paper work. Mostly because I am low on my medicine and that never ends well. Secondly most of my insurance has been canceled, and that just proves to be inconvenient. I also just need to see a few doctors while I am in town.
I had a seizure late last week and got a full fire dept. roll out. There was something about meeting a group of EMT’s on a side of town I normally avoid, and having one of them comment they have all heard of me. I guess the only thing about it that really bothers me, was the way he said it. I keep forgetting I have a legend that precedes me. Apparently the girl who actually called the ambulance remembered going to high school with me.
